Thank you to the district leaders who have reached out regarding the recent request to states by the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights for states and local school districts to sign assurances related to Title VI. Please see my response sent today to the U.S. Department of Education related to this matter.

Illinois will not be collecting assurances.
